Should You Get a Professional Snow Blower Tune-Up? Transcript:

Can you do your own engine tune-ups at home? Find out why it's still important to bring your snow blower in to a professional.

Although many people are more than capable of doing their own engine maintenance at home, it's still a good idea to bring your snow blower into your local mechanic for a pre-season tune-up - especially for a two-stage snow blower. In addition to the basics, such as replacing spark plugs, and fuel filters, changing the oil, and checking the belts, skid shoes, and scraper blades, a professional also has the set-up to be able to hoist your snow blower over to open the inspection cover and to be able to check all those internal parts, to adjust and lubricate. Also, many of those internal parts to be lubricated each require their own lubricants that only professionals can get their hands on.
